The Stability of this collection device has been evaluated to 30 days (720hrs) at which there were no apparent signs for DNA/RNA degradation via PCR Cycle time values. The 30 day time frame includes 48hrs at 100°F. All organisms/viruses were sourced as whole organism or obtained as real clinical specimens. There were no issues when comparing gram positive extraction efficiency when compared to other lysis buffers.

The HCS collection system has been evaluated using molecular techniques involving DNA/RNA extraction on the kingfisher platform utilizing the MagMax Ultra Viral/Pathogen Kit.
